a. Create empty VCMDB

#symmaskdb -sid symid -file file_bkp init

b. Recover VCMDB

# symmaskdb -sid symid -file file_bkp restore

c. Refresh the Symmetrix FA's with the new VCMDB

# symmask -sid symid refresh
